CalRecycle Posts Updated SB 54 Source-Reduction Reporting Guidance

CalRecycle published updated source-reduction reporting guidance on August 4, 2026, as part of California's packaging producer responsibility program. The agency continues to maintain producer guidance for single-use packaging and plastic food service ware covered by SB 54.

Why it matters: Restaurants, franchisors, packaged-food operators, and suppliers may want to monitor packaging, service ware, procurement, and producer-responsibility questions as implementation continues.
